Bloody Mary (Maror)

  • 1.5 oz vodka
  • 3 oz tomato juice
  • 1.5 oz lemon juice
  • 0.5 t worcestershire sauce
  • 3 drops Tabasco sauce
  • pepper
  • salt
  • 0.25 t celery salt
  • 0.5 T prepared horseradish
  • Karpas (celery or green onion or pickled green beans) to garnish

Hot Apple Pie (Charoset)

Version 1

  • 0.75 c Hot apple cider
  • 2 oz Rum
  • A dash of cinnamon and a few drops of vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream to top

Makes 5-6 shots

Version 2

  • 1 oz Irish cream
  • 1 oz Cinnamon schnapps (Goldschager, Hot Damn, etc.)

Bull Shot (Z'roa)

Bull Shot

  • 0.5 t Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 oz beef broth
  • 0.5 t lime juice
  • 1 oz vodka
  • 1 dash Tabasco sauce (Optional)

Mud and Blood (Z'roa or Orange or Both?)

  • 2 oz. carrot juice
  • 2 oz. beef bouillon
  • 2 oz. fresh orange juice
  • 1 dash Tabasco sauce
  • 1 dash Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 oz. pepper vodka

Shake with ice, strain into a large highball glass, and serve.

Egg Nog (Beitzah)

  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 0.5 c sugar
  • 0.5 c white rum
  • 1.5 c milk
  • 1.5 c whiskey
  • 1 c cream
  • Fresh grated nutmeg
  1. Whip the egg whites with half the sugar until stiff peaks form
  2. Whip yolks with the other half of the sugar until ribbons form
  3. Combine the egg whites and the yolks and continue mixing on low speed.
  4. Stir in the rum, then the milk, then the whiskey, then half of the cream.
  5. In a separate bowl, whip the other half of the cream.
  6. When whipped, gently fold the cream into the eggnog mixture.
  7. Ladle room temperature eggnog into cups and sprinkle with a small amount of nutmeg.

Makes 6 cups of eggnog, which can easily serve 8 guests.

Screwdriver (Orange)

  • 2 oz vodka
  • 4 oz orange juice

Put 3 ice cubes into a highball glass. Pour in vodka. Fill balance of glass with orange juice, stir, and serve.
